  • I use to own this pro smith gym when I lived up north but had to sell it when I moved. It was the best piece of equipment I ever bought for working out with. I had a small like 8X10 room and it just fit, was always a squeeze to move the bench out of the way to do rowing exercises, but I made it work. I loved it. It, like all smith machines self spots you, so that when you just can't make that last rep, you can safely get out from under the bar without it crushing your windpipe or chest. With the low and high pulleys you can do almost any kind of cable work you want. The only draw back to most women (myself included) was that the pec dec was too far out in front of the back support. It is fine for 200 pound men but we who are of smaller proportions just can't safely/comfortably move the arms without straining (again because of the position of them away from the back cushion). Other than that it is a fine piece of equipment and will serve you well for years and years

  • Still Going Strong
  • I am just writing you to let you know that my Body Solid Powerline Smith Gym is still my workout of choice. This has been in my basement for around 8 years now and still going strong. Now that my kids are older I am looking to expand with some new equipment and Body Solid is on the top of the list! Keep up the good work!
