Good piece with room for improvement
I actually really enjoy this preacher curl pad, but there is room for some modification and improvement. First off, the unit is comfortable. The padding is curved nicely, has a lot of support, and is very comfortable to use. My issues would be the following. It's too tall to start off with. I'm not short by any means, and even on the lowest setting, it's too tall to use properly. Another issue is the stability of the bar when using it. You have to have the weight evenly displaced, or the bar will tip over and fall. It would have been a much better idea to have two separate bar posts that were smaller, to displace the weight evenly. The material used also seems to soak up oil and grease, and it won't come off, and just gives it an overall used look unnecessarily. That being said, I would buy it again, and I will continue to use Body-Solid and for all of my fitness needs. Specifically because of they're outstanding customer service.
