This exercise is specifically designed to be performed with a speed rope. Speed rope training is an affordable, portable way to improve coordination, agility, endurance and cardio conditioning.
To perform a double under, make two turns of the rope for every one jump. Keeping the feet together, jump with both feet at the same time.
This move is more difficult and should be done after mastering more basic moves.
Jump rope in a traditional fashion—both feet coming off the ground with each turn of the rope—as fast as possible for 60 seconds. Even when changing the style of jumping, maintain maximum speed. Then, rest for 30 seconds.
