GOAL: FLEXIBILITY

STATIC STRETCHING
The goal of Static Stretching is to overcome the stretch reflex (the automatic tightening of a muscle when stretched, which relaxes after approximately 20 seconds) to coax a joint into a wider range-of-motion. Experts agree that Statci Stretching is best for post-workout or sports-activity to increase range-of-motion and prevent injury.
